Example of Data logging for a Grid Connect Solar System with Batteries

Grid-Interactive

This type of system only operates when the electrical supply is available.  In the event of an outage, the system is designed to shut down until supply power is restored. An example size of a solar panel array would be 4 – 250w solar panels.  This array would be capable of producing approximately 1 kilowatt of power per hour depending on shading, available sun, the season and ambient temperature of and around the panels.  When we design a system these factors are taken into consideration. This size array would provide enough power to reduce your electricity bill.

Grid-Interactive with the use of other alternative power generating technologies

The industry has evolved whereby we can design and install energy management systems to allow the customer to take control of when they would prefer to buy power from the grid or alternatively live in an off grid situation but still be connected to the grid. With careful design we have been able to set these systems up successful so that customers only have to rely on their power from the grid for as little as 20 to 30% of the year, in some cases even less.

The customer has the freedom to use their stored energy in batteries and they are not concerned with being affected by consuming power during “time of use” (T.O.U.) tariffs that the utilities have introduced.

In remote areas where the Utility’s infrastructure is outdated, these types of systems provide support to the customer and the utility by stabilising the power supply, especially during peak demands. It also provides back up power for the customer during power blackouts.

Our energy management systems include:

  1. Solar Grid Connect

  2. Grid Connect with battery storage

  3. Standalone Power Generation systems (off grid)

  4. Wind Technology

  5. Micro Hydro systems

  6. Generator systems

  7. Electrical services and telecommunications networks

Standalone System

Standalone Power Systems

This type of system utilises power generating technologies such as: solar, batteries, wind, genset, micro/hydro. These systems rely on the energy storage in the form of a battery to keep “critical load” (fridge, freezer etc.) circuits in the site operating.
